Cooking Steps

Prepare

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C. 
  • Crush or mince the garlic. Add the garlic, mustard, half of the panko, and the spice mix to a bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Whisk in 1 egg. 
  • Add the minced meat and mix well. 
  • Whisk another egg in a small bowl. 

 

 

 

Make the sausage roll

  • Roll out the puff pastry on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. 
  • Sprinkle the panko over the puff pastry. 
  • Spread the onion chutney over the pastry and divide the minced meat mixture over the chutney. 
Bake the mini rolls

  • Brush a little of the beaten egg on the top edge of the pastry, then roll up the puff pastry. 
  • Slice the puff pastry into smaller sausage rolls. 
  • Divide the mini sausage rolls over the baking sheet. Use the rest of the egg to brush the top. 
  • Bake in the oven for 20 - 25 minutes. 

 

Serve
4
  • Place the mini sausage rolls on a serving platter and serve with the smokey ketchup.
