Rijst koken

Breng ruim water aan de kook in een pan met deksel voor de rijst. Pers de knoflook of snijd fijn. Kook de rijst, afgedekt, 10 - 12 minuten. Giet daarna af.

Groenten bakken

Verhit ondertussen 1/4 el zonnebloemolie per persoon in een hapjespan met deksel op middelhoog vuur. Voeg de ui, sperziebonen, wortel en 1 el water per persoon toe en stoof, afgedekt, 6 - 8 minuten. Voeg de knoflook en de ketjap toe en verhit het geheel nog 2 minuten zonder deksel.

Tip: Houd je van pittig? Voeg dan 1 tl sambal per persoon toe, of kies naar smaak voor meer of minder sambal.

Wortel zit boordevol vitamine A - goed voor de groei, voor de gezondheid van je huid, haar en nagels en voor een goede werking van je ogen en afweersysteem. Het zit bijvoorbeeld ook in boerenkool, spinazie, broccoli en ei.

Halveer ondertussen de rundergehaktballen. Verhit 1/4 el zonnebloemolie per persoon in een koekenpan op middelhoog vuur. Bak de gehaktballen 4 - 5 minuten, of tot ze gaar zijn. Verwarm de satésaus in een steelpan op laag vuur. Roer goed door.

Verdeel de rijst over de borden. Serveer de groenten ernaast. Schep de rundergehaktballetjes en saus erbovenop.
