Krieltjes bakken

  • Haal de Duitse biefstuk uit de koelkast.
  • Verhit 1/2 el olijfolie per persoon in een koekenpan met deksel op middelhoog vuur.
  • Bak de voorgekookte krieltjes, afgedekt, 10 - 11 minuten.
  • Haal de laatste 5 minuten het deksel van de pan en breng op smaak met peper en zout.

Tip: Duitse biefstuk bevat relatief weinig calorieën. Andere magere opties voor vleesliefhebbers zijn bijvoorbeeld kipfilet, varkenshaas, rundertartaar en biefstuk.

Salade maken

  • Snijd de komkommer in plakjes.
  • Snijd de rode ui in dunne halve ringen. Snijd de bieslook fijn.
  • Maak in een saladekom een vinaigrette van per persoon: 1/2 el extra vierge olijfolie, 1/2 tl mosterd, 1 tl wittewijnazijn, peper en zout. Roer de zure room erdoor en voeg de radicchio en romaine, komkommer, rode ui en bieslook toe (zie Tip).
  • Meng alles goed door elkaar.

Tip: Houd je niet van rauwe rode ui? Laat ze dan weg uit de salade en bak ze de laatste 5 minuten mee met de krieltjes.

Duitse biefstuk bakken

  • Verhit 1 el roomboter per persoon in een koekenpan op middelhoog vuur.
  • Bak de Duitse biefstuk in 2 – 3 minuten per kant rondom bruin. Breng op smaak met peper en zout.
  • Bak de Duitse biefstuk langer wanneer je niet van rood vlees houdt.

  • Verdeel de Duitse biefstuk over de borden en schep de gebakken krieltjes en mayonaise erbij.
  • Proef de piccalilly en schep naar smaak over de Duitse biefstuk. Breng eventueel op smaak met extra vierge olijfolie, peper en zout.
  • Serveer met de salade.

Tip: Wist je dat dit gerecht ruim 250 gram groente bevat? Een van de groenten is rode ui - rijk aan vezels, B-vitaminen en antioxidanten.
