Cooking Steps

Voorbereiden

Verwarm de oven voor op 200 graden. Breng ruim water aan de kook in een pan voor de biet. Schil de biet en snijd in blokjes van 1 cm. Kook de bietblokjes 15 - 20 minuten, of tot ze gaar zijn. Giet daarna af en laat uitstomen.

Brood bakken

Snijd de ui in dunne halve ringen. Snijd de komkommer in blokjes. Verwijder het klokhuis van de appel en snijd de appel in blokjes. Bak het brood 6 - 8 minuten in de oven.

Roosteren

Verhit een koekenpan zonder olie op middelhoog vuur en rooster de walnootstukjes 1 - 2 minuten, of tot ze beginnen te kleuren. Haal uit de pan en bewaar tot serveren.

Appel bakken

Verhit de roomboter in dezelfde koekenpan op middelhoog vuur. Bak de ui samen met de appelblokjes 3 - 4 minuten (zie Tip).

Tip: Houd de pan goed in de gaten. Gebruik eventueel wat extra roomboter om ervoor te zorgen dat de appelblokjes niet aanbakken.

Meng in een grote saladekom de aardbeiensaus met per persoon: 1/2 el zwarte balsamicoazijn en 1 el extra vierge olijfolie. Breng op smaak met peper en zout. Voeg vlak voor serveren de slamix en de komkommer toe aan de saladekom en meng met de dressing.

Verdeel de salade over de borden. Garneer met de bietblokjes, gebakken appel, ui en geroosterde walnootstukjes. Verkruimel de verse geitenkaas erover en serveer met het broodje.

Weetje: Eet je graag seizoensgroenten? Dan zit je met bietjes altijd goed. Bietjes worden het hele jaar door lokaal gekweekt en zitten vol kalium en foliumzuur. Een bewuste en gezonde keuze dus!
