Cooking Steps

Sushirijst koken

  • Breng 175 ml water per persoon aan de kook in een pan met deksel.
  • Voeg de sushirijst toe en zet het vuur laag. Laat, afgedekt, 12 - 14 minuten zachtjes koken.
  • Zet het vuur daarna uit en laat afgedekt staan tot serveren.

  • Schaaf ondertussen met een dunschiller of kaasschaaf dunne linten van de komkommer.
  • Halveer de avocado en verwijder de pit en schil. Snijd het vruchtvlees in plakken.
  • Snijd de verse kruiden fijn. 
  • Pers de helft van de sinaasappel uit. Snijd met een scherp mes de schil en het witte vlies van de overige sinaasappel. Snijd de vruchtvleespartjes los van de vliezen, zodat je het vruchtvlees er gemakkelijk met je mes tussenuit kan halen.

Weetje: Avocado is rijk aan plantaardige onverzadigde vetten. Het eten van deze vrucht heeft hierdoor een positief effect op je cholesterolgehalte en helpt je hart en bloedvaten gezond te houden.

  • Verhit 1/2 el olijfolie per persoon in een koekenpan op hoog vuur. Voeg de garnalen en BBQ-rub (let op: pittig! Gebruik naar smaak) toe en bak 2 minuten.
  • Blus af met per persoon: 1 el sinaasappelsap, 1/2 el honing en 1/4 tl bloem. Roer goed en laat nog 1 minuut inkoken. Breng op smaak met peper en zout.
  • Meng per persoon: 1/2 el wittewijnazijn en 1/2 tl suiker door de sushirijst. 
  • Meng in een kleine kom de whiskeysaus met de aangegeven hoeveelheid water. 
Serveren

  • Verdeel de sushirijst over diepe borden of kommen. 
  • Leg de avocado, sojabonen, sinaasappelblokjes, komkommerlinten en garnalen op de rijst. Besprenkel de garnalen met de overige saus uit de koekenpan.
  • Garneer met de whiskeysaus, het sesamzaad en verse kruiden.
