Cooking Steps

Prepare

  • Take the steak out of the fridge and allow it to reach room temperature.
  • Peel or thoroughly wash the potatoes and cut them into wedges. 
  • Heat a drizzle of sunflower oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry the wedges for 18 - 20 minutes, covered, tossing regularly.
  • Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Fry the green beans

  • Discard the tips of the green beans and then cut in half. 
  • Slice the onion into half-rings.
  • Heat a drizzle of sunflower oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat and fry the onion with the green beans for 10 - 12 minutes.
  • Stir in the water for the sauce, the sambal and the ginger stir-fry sauce. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Fry the steak

  • Melt a knob of butter in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  • When the butter is nice and hot, fry the steak for 1 - 3 minutes per side.
  • Meanwhile, crush or mince the garlic.
  • Remove the steak from the pan and season with pepper, then allow to rest for at least 3 minutes under aluminum foil.
Serve

  • Melt another knob of butter in the same pan and fry the garlic with the sesame seeds and the soy sauce for 1 minute. 
  • Serve the potato wedges on plates with the steak and the green beans alongside.
  • Drizzle the steak with the garlic-sesame butter to finish.
