Cooking Steps

Voorbereiden

  • Breng de aangegeven hoeveelheid water aan de kook in een pan met deksel. Voeg 1/3 bouillonblokje per persoon toe. Bewaar 50 ml bouillon per persoon voor stap 3. Kook de rijst 10 minuten. Giet daarna eventueel af.
  • Snipper de ui. Pers de knoflook of snijd fijn.
  • Snijd de bloem van de broccoli in roosjes en de steel in blokjes.
  • Snijd de wortel in halve maantjes. 
Kip bakken

  • Snijd de kip in blokjes van 2 cm.
  • Verhit ondertussen 1/2 el zonnebloemolie per persoon in een wok of hapjespan op middelhoog vuur en bak de kipfilet in 4 - 5 minuten rondom bruin.
  • Voeg de gemberpuree, knoflook, wortel en ui toe en bak 2 minuten mee.
Curry koken

  • Voeg de broccoli, slagroom, groene currykruiden en per persoon: 10 ml vissaus (let op: zout! Voeg geleidelijk toe en proef goed tussendoor) en 50 ml bouillon toe aan de wok of hapjespan.
  • Laat de curry 8 - 10 minuten zachtjes koken.
  • Breng de curry op smaak met peper en zout.
Serveren

  • Verdeel de curry over diepe borden en schep de rijst ernaast.

Weetje: Broccoli wordt niet voor niets gezien als een supergroente. Het is rijk aan onder andere calcium, kalium, ijzer en vitamine B, C en E.
