- Preheat the oven to 200°C.
- Crush or mince the garlic.
- In an oven dish, combine the cream with the garlic, tomatoes, pesto, sugar and balsamic vinegar. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

- Use a knife to score the chicken breast on both sides, then transfer to the oven dish.
- Bake in the oven for 25 - 30 minutes, or until the chicken is done.
- Meanwhile, boil plenty of water in a pot or saucepan for the linguine.
- When the chicken has 11 minutes left, cook the linguine for 9 - 11 minutes, then drain and set aside.
- Slice the chicken breast.
- Transfer the tomato sauce to the linguine and toss well to combine.
- Serve the linguine on plates and top with the chicken.
