Cooking Steps

Voorbereiden

Verwarm de oven voor op 220 graden. Breng ruim water aan de kook in een pan met deksel voor de rijst. Pers de knoflook of snijd fijn. Rasp de gember met een fijne rasp.

Kip marineren

Halveer de kippendijen en leg ze in een ovenschaal. Voeg de helft van de yoghurt, de helft van de knoflook en de helft van de gember toe aan de ovenschaal. Voeg per persoon: 1 tl garam masala, 1 tl kurkuma, 1/4 el olijfolie, 1 tl wittewijnazijn en een snuf zout toe. Meng goed, dek af met aluminiumfolie en zet tot gebruik in de koelkast. Snipper de ui. Snijd de paprika in blokjes.

Bakken

Verhit per persoon 1/4 el roomboter en 1/2 el olijfolie in een koekenpan op middelmatig vuur. Bak de ui en de paprika 3 - 4 minuten. Voeg de overige gember en knoflook toe en bak 1 minuut mee. Voeg per persoon: 1/2 tl garam masala, 1/2 tl kurkuma, 1/2 tl komijnzaad en 1/2 tl gemalen korianderzaad toe. Bak 1 minuut. Voeg de Heinz Tomato Frito toe en kook de saus 10 - 15 minuten. Haal de kip uit de koelkast, verwijder het aluminiumfolie van de ovenschaal en bak de kip in 10 - 15 minuten gaar in de oven.

Rijst koken

Kook de rijst met een snuf zout in de pan met deksel, afgedekt, in 10 - 12 minuten gaar. Giet daarna af en laat zonder deksel uitstomen. Snijd ondertussen de koriander fijn.

Saus afwerken

Schud de kokosmelk of roer goed door met een vork en voeg toe aan de koekenpan met de Heinz Tomato Frito en de groenten. Breng op smaak met zout en roer goed door. Voeg ook de kip toe en kook nog 3 - 4 minuten zachtjes op laag vuur.

Serveren
6

Verdeel de rijst over de borden en schep de kip tikka masala erop. Garneer met de verse koriander en de rest van de yoghurt.
