Voorbereiden

Verwarm de oven voor op 200 graden. Snipper de ui. Pers de knoflook of snijd fijn. Rasp de gember. Snijd de tomaat in blokjes.

Weetje: Wist je dat tomaten veel voordelen hebben voor je gezondheid? Ze zijn rijk aan vitamine A, C en E én lycopeen. Lycopeen is een antioxidant en beschermt onze cellen tegen schadelijke invloeden. Hoe rijper de tomaat, hoe meer lycopeen!

Saus maken

Verhit 1/2 el roomboter per persoon in een wok of hapjespan en fruit de ui, knoflook en gember 2 - 3 minuten. Voeg de garam masala en tomaat toe en bak 1 minuut (zie Tip). Voeg de passata en kookroom toe en laat 10 - 15 minuten koken op laag vuur.

Tip: Let op: de garam masala is pittig! Houd je niet van pittig of eten er kinderen mee? Gebruik dan naar smaak minder rode peper of houd apart.

Kruidenyoghurt maken

Snijd de koriander en munt fijn. Meng in een kom 2/3 van de verse kruiden met de yoghurt. Breng op smaak met peper en zout.

Vegetarische balletjes bakken

Verhit 1/2 el roomboter per persoon in een koekenpan middelhoog vuur en bak de vegetarische balletjes 6 minuten.

Naan bakken

Bak het naanbrood 2 - 3 minuten in de voorverwarmde oven (zie Tip). Voeg de balletjes toe aan de saus. Voeg per persoon: 1/2 el roomboter en het sap van 1/4 limoen toe aan de saus en roer goed door. Breng op smaak met peper en zout.

Tip: Deze maaltijd is calorierijk. Let jij op je calorie-inname? Bereid dan de helft van het naanbrood. Bewaar de rest voor later in de week, bijvoorbeeld als voorafje met tzatziki of hummus.

Serveren

Serveer de balletjes met saus in een diep bord. Garneer met de overige verse kruiden en 1 limoenpartje per persoon. Serveer met het naanbrood en de kruidenyoghurt.
