Cooking Steps

Prepare

  • Crush or mince the garlic.
  • Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat.
  • Add the garlic, the vegetable mix and half of the water for the sauce.
  • Cover with the lid and steam for 4 minutes, then deglaze with the balsamic vinegar and the rest of the water for the sauce.
Fry the gnocchi

  • Stir in the tomatoes, the cream cheese, the Hello Buon Appetito and the sugar.
  • Season to taste with salt and pepper, then allow to simmer until serving, uncovered.
  • Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  • Fry the gnocchi for 6 - 8 minutes, leaving it mostly undisturbed so as to allow it to turn golden-brown.
Fry the veggie bacon

  • Melt a knob of butter in a small frying pan over high heat.
  • Fry the veggie bacon with the smoked paprika for 5 minutes, or until crispy.
  • Meanwhile, roughly chop the fresh herbs.

  • Serve the sauce on deep plates with everything else on top.
  • Garnish with the fresh herbs to finish.
