Cooking Steps

Rijst en broccoli koken
1

Breng ruim water aan de kook in 2 pannen met deksel voor de rijst en de broccoli. Snijd de bloem van de broccoli in roosjes en de steel in blokjes. Kook de rijst, afgedekt, in 12 – 15 minuten gaar in een van de pannen met deksel. Kook de broccoli, afgedekt, 4 – 6 minuten in de andere pan met deksel. Giet daarna af en spoel af met koud water.

Saus maken

Verhit ondertussen in een steelpan op laag vuur de sojasaus samen met de honing en de suiker. Laat het geheel 10 – 12 minuten zachtjes koken tot de saus is ingedikt (zie Tip).

Tip: Let goed op de sojasaus met suiker; zorg dat deze niet aanbrand.

Smaakmakers snijden

Pluk de muntblaadjes en Thaise basilicumblaadjes van de takjes en snijd ze fijn. Snijd ook de koriander, inclusief takjes (zie Tip), fijn. Snijd de limoen in partjes. Pers de knoflook of snijd fijn.

Tip: De steeltjes van de koriander kan je gewoon gebruiken, hier zit zelfs het meeste smaak in!

Broccoli bakken

Verhit 1/2 el zonnebloemolie per persoon in een koekenpan op middelhoog vuur. Bak de knoflook 1 – 2 minuten en voeg dan de broccoli, gomasio en sesamolie toe. Roer goed door en bak nog 3 – 4 minuten. Breng op smaak met peper en zout.

Biefstukreepjes garen

Meng de gekookte rijst met de verse kruiden en breng op smaak met peper en zout. Roer de biefstukreepjes door de ingedikte sojasaus. Gaar ze 2 – 5 minuten in de saus, tot ze net gaar zijn (zie Tip).

Tip: De biefstukreepjes garen erg snel en worden dan taai. Daarom bak je ze niet eerst maar verhit je ze in de vissaus. Ze hoeven dan nog niet helemaal gaar te zijn; ze zullen ook nog doorgaren op je bord.

Serveren

Verdeel de rijst over de borden en schep de biefstukreepjes erop, maar bewaar de saus. Serveer de broccoli ernaast en giet dan de sojasaus uit de steelpan over de broccoli. Garneer met de limoenpartjes.
