- Preheat the oven to 200°C. Take the steak out of the fridge and allow to reach room temperature.
- Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a deep frying pan. Add the potatoes and fry 18 - 20 minutes.
- In the meantime, chop the onion into half rings. Chop the Romano pepper into strips.
- Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a small frying pan for the onion. Fry the onion for 8 - 10 minutes over medium heat. Season with pepper and salt.
- Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a large frying pan. Fry the Romano pepper for 3 - 4 minutes. Place the romano pepper to one side of the pan. Melt a knob of butter next to it.
- When the butter is nice and hot, fry the steak for 1 - 3 minutes per side. Add 1/2 of the Worcestershire to the pan. Remove the steak from the pan and season with pepper, then allow to rest under aluminium foil.
- Deglaze the onion with the balsamic vinegar and let it sit in the pan over low heat until serving.
- Slice open the street food bun and place it on a baking sheet.
- Cut the steak against the grain and divide it over the bun with the Romano pepper and cooking liquid. Sprinkle the cheddar cheese on top and roast in the oven for 4 - 5 minutes.
- Chop the tomato into wedges and put them in a salad bowl with the mesclun. Slice the lemon into wedges.
- Add the mayonnaise, mustard, the remaining Worcestershire, pepper, salt and squeeze a lemon wedge per person, pepper and salt and mix with the salad.
- Add the BBQ-rub to the potato and mix well.
- Add the caramelised onion onto the bun and divide it on the plates.
- Serve the potatoes next to it with some mayonnaise to taste.
- Serve with the salad and garnish with the grana padano flakes.
