Cooking Steps

Boil the noodles
1
  • Boil plenty of water in a pot or saucepan. Cook the noodles for 4 - 5 minutes until al dente, then drain and return to the pot.
  • Add the sesame oil and toss well to coat, then set aside.
  • Heat the sunflower oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Fry the vegetable mix for 6 - 8 minutes, then add the soy sauce (see Tip).

Tip: if you're watching your salt intake, omit the soy sauce and instead add some later when serving.

Fry the mince
2
  • Melt the butter in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry the mince for 3 - 4 minutes, separating it as you do so. Season to taste with salt and pepper (see Tip).
  • Meanwhile, prepare the stock.
  • Cut the lime into six wedges.

Tip: if you'd like the dish to be spicier, add some sambal from your pantry as preferred.

Make the sauce
3
  • Stir the flour into the vegetables, then add the stock and allow to thicken for 1 minute.
  • Remove from the heat, then add the cream cheese, the miso* and the juice of 1 lime wedge per person.
  • Mix well and season to taste with pepper.

*Take care, this ingredient is salty! Use as preferred.

Serve
4
  • Transfer the noodles to the vegetables and mix well, then serve on plates.
  • Top with the mince and garnish with the furikake and crispy onions.
  • Serve with the lime wedges alongside.
