Breng ruim water aan de kook in een pan met deksel voor de rijst.Snipper de sjalot. Snijd de uiteinden van de sperziebonen.Halveer de vegetarische balletjes.Verhit 1 el zonnebloemolie per persoon in een hapjespan op middelmatig vuur en roerbak de sjalot en sperziebonen 12 - 15 minuten en breng op smaak met peper en zout.

Voeg de basmatirijst toe aan het kokende water en kook 12 - 15 minuten. Giet daarna af en laat uitstomen zonder deksel.Verhit 1/2 el zonnebloemolie per persoon in een koekenpan op middelhoog vuur en bak de vegetarische balletjes 5 minuten.Verlaag het vuur en voeg de zoete Aziatische saus toe en bak nog 3 minuten.Snijd ondertussen de verse kruiden grof.

Roer de sesamolie en verse kruiden vlak voor serveren door de rijst. Breng op smaak met peper en zout.
