- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Halve and pit the nectarines, then slice the flesh.
- In a bowl, mix the flour with half of the shaved almonds and half of the powdered sugar.
- Zest the lemon, then juice it into a small bowl.
- Roll out the puff pastry and transfer it to a parchment-lined baking sheet. Scatter the almond-sugar mix on top, leaving an empty border of 3 - 5 cm around the edges.
- Add the nectarine slices on top of the puff pastry in an even layer.
- Fold the pastry edges inward and brush them with the milk.
- Scatter the rest of the shaved almonds on top, using most of them for the folded edges first, then the remaining ones for the nectarines.
- Bake the galette in the centre of the oven for 25 - 30 minutes or until golden brown. Let it cool for 5 - 10 minutes before serving.
- Meanwhile, mix the cream cheese with the lemon zest and lemon juice in a bowl.
- Set aside 1 tbsp of the powdered sugar to sprinkle as a garnish, then add the rest of the powdered sugar to the cream cheese and mix.
- Serve the galette with a dollop of cream cheese and sprinkle the reserved powdered sugar on top.
