Cooking Steps

Bake the croissants
1
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Open the tin of croissant dough and cut six triangles loose along the dotted lines.
  • Spread the ham over the dough and sprinkle with the grated gruyere.
  • Roll the lined dough into croissants and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the oven for 10 - 15 minutes.
Prep the French toast
2
  • Cut the sugar bread into 2-inch-thick slices.
  • In a deep dish, whisk the milk, 2 eggs, the cinnamon and a pinch of salt.
Fry the French toast
3
  • Heat the sunflower oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Roll the sugar bread slices through the egg yolk, place in the pan and fry for about 3 minutes per side, or until they begin to firm up.
Boil the eggs
4
  • Heat enough water in a saucepan to completely submerge the rest of the eggs.
  • Bring the water to a boil and then carefully add the remaining eggs one at a time with a spoon.
  • Boil the eggs for 6 minutes for a soft-boiled egg and 8 minutes for a hard-boiled egg.
Prepare the yogurt bowls
5
  • Squeeze out the juice of the oranges.
  • Divide the yogurt among deep bowls.
  • Remove the crown from the strawberries and slice them.
  • Garnish the yogurt with the cranberry and walnut mix.
  • Using blueberries and strawberries, make a heart on top of the yogurt (see Tip).

Tip: If desired, serve the remaining fruit on the side.

Serve
6
  • Set the table with the yogurt bowls, boiled eggs and fresh orange juice.
  • Place the croissants on a serving plate.
  • Divide the French toast between the plates and garnish with the mascarpone and raspberries.

Happy Mother's Day!
