Cooking Steps

Fry the shrimp

  • Chop the onion and crush or mince the garlic.
  • Heat a light drizzle of sunflower oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry the onion and the garlic for 1 - 2 minutes.
  • Add the shrimp, the tomato paste, the ginger paste and the ketjap, then fry for 3 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Fry the cabbage

  • Heat a drizzle of sunflower oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  • Stir-fry the cabbage with a pinch of salt for 3 - 4 minutes.
  • Heat a clean frying pan over medium-high heat and warm the tortillas for 1 - 2 minutes per side.
Make the sauce

  • Meanwhile, dice the tomato.
  • Juice half of the lime and cut the rest into wedges. 
  • In a small bowl, combine the peanut butter with the lime juice, the soy sauce and the mayonnaise. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Serve

  • Serve all of the toppings separately at the table and allow everyone to assemble their own tacos as preferred.
  • Serve the lime wedges alongside.
