Cooking Steps

Prepare

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  • Chop the onion and dice the Romano pepper.
  • Deseed the jalapeño and slice it into thin rings. 
  • Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry the onion and Romano pepper for 3 - 4 minutes, then transfer half to a tall container and set aside.
Make the pizza

  • Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the BBQ rub* and the passata. 
  • Transfer the pizza dough to a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Spread with the tomato sauce, then top with the shrimp, chorizo, jalapeño* and mozzarella.
  • Bake the pizza in the oven for 13 - 15 minutes.

*Take care, these ingredients are spicy! Use as preferred.

Prepare the toppings

  • Transfer the olives to the tall container and use an immersion blender to process until smooth.
  • Finely chop the fresh herbs.
  • Cut half of the lemon into wedges and juice the rest into a small bowl.
  • Add the fresh herbs and the extra virgin olive oil, then mix well to combine.
Serve

  • When the pizza is done, drizzle with the olive-pepper sauce and the herb oil.
  • Serve the pizza with the lemon wegdes alongside.
