Rijst koken

Weeg de risottorijst af. Pers de knoflook of snijd fijn. Verhit de sesamolie in een pan met deksel op middelhoog vuur. Bak de knoflook in 2 - 3 minuten goudbruin. Verlaag het vuur en voeg de risottorijst, 100 ml water per persoon en een snuf zout toe aan de pan (zie Tip). Kook, afgedekt, in 12 – 15 minuten gaar. Bewaar afgedekt tot serveren.

Tip: Voeg eventueel meer kokend water toe als de rijst te snel droogkookt.

Verwijder de steelaanzet van de paksoi en snijd de paksoi in repen (zie Tip). Snijd de wortel in dunne halve maantjes. Snijd de kipfilethaasjes in stukken van 1 – 2 cm.

Tip: Houd je van knapperige groenten? Snijd de paksoi dan in grovere stukken zodat ze lekker knapperig blijven tijdens het bakken.

Verhit 1/4 el zonnebloemolie per persoon in een koekenpan met deksel op middelhoog vuur. Roerbak de wortel 3 - 5 minuten. Voeg de paksoi toe en verkruimel 1/8 bouillonblokje per persoon boven de pan. Bak, afgedekt, 2 - 4 minuten en breng eventueel verder op smaak met peper en zout.

Verhit 1/2 el zonnebloemolie per persoon in een koekenpan op middellaag vuur. Roerbak de kipfiletstukjes 5 - 7 minuten. Voeg in de laatste 2 minuten de zoet-pittige chilisaus, sojasaus (let op: zout! Voeg geleidelijk toe en proef goed tussendoor) en ketjap toe aan de kip.
